Beverly Bird seeks to capture life's character, beauty and energy, whether it be landscapes, figures, portraits or other forms. Her work is primarily representational, focusing on Sonoma landscapes, while retaining a vital interest in figures and portraits. Her love of art started as a child - she studied art throughout her school years, receiving a B.A. in art from CSU Long Beach. After an interesting and challenging career in public service, she returned to painting. She has continued her studies with Craig Nelson, Kathleen Dunphy, Erik Sandgren, Frank Gannon, Kathryn Cerasoli, and other master artists. Her work may be viewed at the Glass Images Gallery, 16369 Main St, Guerneville, CA.
